Bio

Saint Jacques are a 6-piece soft indie-folk band from Adelaide. Their gentle homemade sound is defined by lush strings, earthy drums, twinkly guitars, soft piano and the distinct voices of vocalists Jacob, Katie and Jo. In just a few short months, their live show has made waves in Adelaide for its emotional honesty, warm arrangements and captivating storytelling.

They caught the ear of Australian indie lovers and the who’s-who of Triple J with their entry in the 2018 DMA’s remix comp, only their second release after their debut single “We’re Not Alive” dropped in August. To follow up the release of their brand new double single “All Things / I Told You”, the troupe will be popping up around Adelaide and Australia throughout 2019, with plenty more new releases lined up.

Saint Jacques is currently:

Jacob Whitelock - guitar, singing
Joanne Zhou - keys, singing
Katie Pomery - guitar, singing
Koleh David - bass
Hugh Edwards - drums
Anna Freer / Frank Giles - violin

If Sufjan Stevens was the leader of DMA's. Worlds colliding.

Every moment of this tune was a delicate well planned delight, filled with mystery and wonder. The lead vocals hold a raw innocence that leads into some beautiful beyond grace harmonies. Thanks for such an elegant experience.
