Bio

Melbourne native Saki should be on your radar... Born of Polynesian/Australian descent, Saki Dj’d since 1999 with the aspirations to become a producer. Looking to fine tune his studio skills he attended SAE Music College and received a Diploma in Music Industry. Initially production was Saki’s main focus, but this was quickly overtaken by his urge to write. Three years later Saki has joined forces with Melbourne producers Pato & Arkiv. Armed with DJ and live drummer, Saki’s true abilities excel with an infectious stage presence proving that his work does not end in the studio. With a mix of reggae infused hip hop it is clear that Saki is a unique fixture in Melbourne’s heavily populated hip hop landscape. Saki has managed to claim feature of the week honors on Triple J's Hip Hop Show for his 2011 debut Ep ‘The Silent Son’ & new album 'Rumjoint Boombox' Both available FREE @ http://sakiaus.bandcamp.com/

Pretty much can't do wrong over a beat sampling a Bob Marley classic. Saki has developed more as an MC - his flow and lyrics are stronger and sounds like he is in a good place to be able to deliver these with vigour and conviction. Top shelf.
