Unearthed artists we like
Following on from a successful last 18 months touring his debut album "Our Shining Skin" recorded in the Barossa valley. Sam Brittain is back on the road in 2014 playing intimate shows and busking the streets of Australia in 2014 with his new album "Live Simply".
A sound reminiscent of artists such as Ryan Adams, Glen Hansard and Damien Rice, Sam's song-writing is largely observational capturing the simple moments, both high a low of the day to day people who pass by on the street.
"Busking has become a huge part of my life" says the 24 year old. "I was first introduced to it by a good friend when he was first out touring in Australia a few years ago now and we did some together. It has become my main way to connect with new music fans all over the country, fund my albums keep the tour rolling along"
Having supported international success stories such as PASSENGER, MATT CORBY, THE CORONAS & MATT MCHUGH. Sam is well versed in the dedication and drive it takes to forge a career in the music industry, especially one that is both effective and sustainable as an independent artist.
"Live Simply" is a collection of songs inspired by the last 18 months of touring all over Australia composed into folk tales painting images of heartbreak, solitude and friendship. Largely influenced by the amazing, caring people you meet on the road and the lives and stories of relative strangers.
