Bio

Sam Saint Jones is a Sydney based singer/songwriter and producer. His debut Album "A Man on the Moon" is set to be released on October 2nd 2020. Ready for is the debut single off of the album. About the album: Conceptually this album was created accidentally. Although I also think that the self sabotaging artist in me knew there would be a good story to come from my decisions eventually. The songs were written as therapy or a meditation to get me through the hardest period of my life. These song’s are my pain, my anger, my grief, my heartbreak, my gratitude, my depression, my joy and my happiness all wrapped up into fifty minutes of digital wavelength. It is my light and my love amplified. Looking back on this period of time I realised that there was a specific linear narrative in the songs. You could watch the entire healing process of grief unfold when you lined up the songs in a particular way. I read the lyrics and saw myself going through all of the stages of Grief: Shock and denial, Pain and guilt, Anger and bargaining and Depression but eventually there is upward turn: Reconstruction and working through, Acceptance, Hope and finally New Love. It was astounding how clearly the story came across to me. Ever since I saw the songs grouped this way I have been obsessed with finishing the album in its entirety with no compromise. I have put every spare cent that I own into this project. Studio time, film clips, artwork, gear, computers, everything. And it fulfils me. There is nothing in this world that I believe in more strongly. I am constantly inundated with intrusive thoughts of the perfect video, the perfect outfit, the perfect album artwork. Frankly it’s a distraction that will remain that way until this album is released into the world. Until the world can hear my story

this is a sick step up from sam mixing attitude with an americana rinse. there's a touch of sun kil moon about your voice in parts too which is cool.

Jangly, rag-tag and low fi - you've got a raw real sound.

it's kinda jaunty and cheery sounding and then you pay attention to the lyrics and they throw you in a different direction. a real interesting take from ssj.
