Bio

Emerging Melbourne artist Sannia has unveiled her breathtaking debut single ‘Go And Get Over’, a strikingly vulnerable track that documents the slow and trying process of moving on from a broken relationship.

Born in 1995 on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Sannia first forged her own path performing in Melbourne bars from the age of sixteen and quickly made a name for herself as a commanding vocalist with musicality well beyond her years.

Described by Tommy Faith (Triple J Unearthed) as “a little Vera Blue, a little Meg Mac and a real full-blooded voice” the single comes from a place of unwavering sincerity so intimate that the listener can instantly hear the reverberations of a tumultuous past through her immensely powerful voice.

It’s a watershed moment for an artist who pairs her emotionally driven delivery with a charming natural stage presence honed through years of pub performances around the Melbourne music circuit.

“She reminds us of a young Adele, using her powerful voice and themes of a broken relationship to create something truly beautiful that speaks to the soul” – Forte Magazine.

To celebrate the release of her debut single, Sannia will be playing an intimate show in her hometown on Friday July 13th at the Wesley Anne in Northcote with support acts to be announced in coming weeks.

What a commanding debut and guac damn, that note at 1:25. Can we just take a moment here!

For a song that bares it all you really come striding out with assured confidence. I'm impressed.

Full of drama, bold hooks and head turning moments. This one's comin' straight from the soul and it's addictive. You'll be glad you listened to it. PS - I love that last 20 seconds. It rounds up the song just perfectly.
