      Sarah Collyer’s debut EP This Way, is the perfect music for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Similar to the music of Norah Jones, Sarah’s music draws heavily on the genre of Jazz, but is not strictly Jazz. Whilst using Jazz instrumentation and superb Jazz players – Sarah’s music captures a uniquely hypnotic blend of jazz, blues and rnb, influenced by the deep rich sounds of Nina Simone and Renee Geyer, the smooth Rnb grooves of Jill Scott and the emotional story telling and piano prowess of Sarah Mclachlan. After studying music at University, Sarah served her musical apprenticeship performing Jazz standards in various bands up and down the East Coast of Australia, however, realising that “there’s only so many times you can sing Autumn leaves before you start playing around with it so much that you’ve really created a different song” – Sarah began to slip a few of her original songs into performances, and found that audiences really loved them!
