Sarah Strahan is an 18 year-old contemporary singer/songwriter from Busselton, Western Australia. Performing with electric guitar and piano, Sarah interacts on a personal level with her audience providing an honest and captivating performance. Through relatable lyrics and catchy tunes, she wants to evoke passion and touch the hearts of those who listen to her music.
Growing up in her dad’s recording studio, Sonup Studios Sarah developed a love and passion for honest music from the moment she could breath. Now with three singles under her belt and the making of a band to back her, Sarah is taking Perth by storm. Doing gigs at popular venues such as Mojos, Rosemount Hotel and more, Sarah is quickly becoming a recognized talent in WA. Since she was fourteen, Sarah has been snatching up awards for vocals, performance and songwriting which has given her the opportunity to meet intentionally acclaimed musicians like John Butler, Lucy Peach, Drapht and others encouraging her to keep perusing music.
During her 4 years of performing, Sarah has proven herself to be unconditionally authentic through her music and as a person. Her musical style and sound could be described as indie pop/folk or a mash of Meg Mac, Ruby Fields and Birdy all in one. She prides herself on originality but has been influenced over the years by many musicians such as Tom Odell, Billy Joel, Passenger and more that have helped shape her sound to what it is today.
