Bio

“A song-writer of great perception, March lets it roll straight from the heart”
– CargoArt Magazine

Singer-songwriter guitarist Sasha March out of Adelaide SA, delivers unique vocal-driven Indie Folk songs. Her alluring stage presence, emotive lyrics and gorgeous voice captivate audiences.

Growing up listening to the music of Jeff Buckley, Ani DiFranco and Portishead, greatly influenced her musical taste and song-writing.

"...Don’t Go Falling builds from a sparse guitar-and-vocal arrangement that recalls Feist and her most moody and intimate.Things then get a little dreamy with the introduction of a haunting organ tone set against the limber rhythm section of the band. The track perfectly splits the difference between March’s striking solo performances and more layered studio ambitions..." - Rip It Up magazine.

The past few years have seen her perform a constant string of shows including touring her EP along Australia’s east coast, performing and recording with Ken Stringfellow USA, (The Posies, R.E.M.) supporting Kristen Hersh, USA (Throwing Muses, 50 Foot Wave) and playing Gorgeous Festival Australia on the line up with Xavier Rudd, The Waifs and The Beautiful Girls, Semaphore Music Festival and Fleurieu Folk Festival.

“Sasha March’s debut self-titled EP is something truly special”
- Music SA

“Sasha March = B E A U T I F U L”
- The Jam Room SA

"I had a marvelous duet partner, Sasha March, Something elemental and Polly Jean-ish,there…I definitely want to work with her again in the future"
- Ken Stringfellow

“The focus of the EP is really on March’s neat guitar work and clear, ringing vocals”
- Rip It UP magazine

Having sung with Sasha, and seen her sing close-up, I am one of a privileged few, that has peeked into what drives her emotion through song. This song is a continuation of a style and feeling that is uniquely Sasha - the band and production is sensitive, enhancing the mood she has created.
