Bio

SEAMS are four friends/stargazers from the suburbs of Perth. We make songs using guitars, synthesizers, drums, machines, theremins, violins and whatever else we can find in the back shed. Sometimes the results are pretty, sometimes ugly, sometimes both. Seams have supported such national touring acts as Eagle And The Worm and Ouch My Face (VIC), as well as international bands including Best Coast (USA) and have shared festival bills with Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Holy Fuck, The Go Team and more. /// PRESS \\\ "The group is responsible for “Cabinsong” and “Early”, which for me are likely some of the best songs anyone has written in Perth over the course of this fledgling decade ... they’re perpetually engaging and infectiously loose as a live act, embracing good ol’ fashioned Pop Music and optimism with arms so wide you just want to hug back and tell your parents you’re sorry."- Alex Griffin, Life Is Noise "Spacerock? Astropunk? Galaxadelica? Seams are a band that evade genre; their tightly-produced, zoned-out tracks invite a writer to try and label them by sticking some cosmic suffix to ‘rock’... there aren’t many Perth bands that push past guitar-and-drum fundamentals with Seams’ level of execution." Callum Twigger, The Thousands "[A] strange and chaotic, but ultimately beguiling brand of experimental pop." - Jennifer Peterson-Ward,X-Press "Seams are a breath of fresh air on the music scene: intriguing to listen to, compelling to watch, and wildly enthusiastic to boot. .. the beauty of Seams’ style is that it is both unexpected and contagious." - FasterLouder "Blending the calculated precision of mathrock and the free-flowing grooves of surf pop is like mixing Kool-aid with whiskey. But thats exactly what Seams from Perth have done on their rollicking new single ‘Boomer’ - taking the unlikeliest of pairings and coming out on the other side with something pscyha-deliciously new." - Transient Jukebox (USA)

I really love the vibe of this song. The music just swims around you.

This ended up going somewhere I did not expect, and that was somewhere was awesome. Snarling guitars, propulsive drums, understated production. Mooooaaar.
