Bio

Seán has been writing songs since his early days in Dublin when his Dad first taught him the basics on guitar. Since then, he’s added drums, keys and bass to his repertoire and combines these with samples and electronic elements to create his own sound.

His influences lie mostly within the indie-folk spectrum. Artists such as The Lumineers, Hozier, Gregory Alan Isakov and some of the more traditional folk greats such as Luke Kelly and Bob Dylan.

Only Sean Frayne can turn a tumultuous sentence sound so forlorn and beautiful.

That opening is so vast and expansive, it creates and a great contrast to the verses which draw the listener in and the tune goes on. I love the way in which it builds instrumentally as well. Solid work.

Uh oh, we got ourselves a big folk-pop vocal over here, alert the proper folkthorities! But truly, Sean's can wail and his 'sounds like' featuring Hozier and Lumineers is about right.
