Bio

Sunshine Coast-based indie-pop quartet Selahphonic have just delivered their latest single ‘Had Our Heaven’ – the follow up to their previous offering 'Easy' and anthemic cut ‘Ghosts Of 1999’, which since it’s April release has been widely embraced by Australian tastemakers.

"The track is a stomping slice of synth-pop, bringing to mind the likes of Bag Raiders, Miami Horror, Clubfeet and even a bit of Client Liaison, on a dreamy little number that soars in all the right places." - Pilerats

Since greeting the industry only in 2014, the past few years have seen Selahphonic tour Australia’s East Coast to warm receptions, also crossing the Pacific Ocean for the third time in their short lifespan for a US Tour and stop offs at Canadian Music Week, New York’s College Music Week (CMJ) and Culture Collide (LA) where their live show received high praise from critics and industry figures alike.

The four-piece have been maintaining a vigorous touring schedule, including a recent DIY backyard Beach tour down the East Coast and regular shows in Sydney and Melbourne sharing stages with the likes of Hey Geronimo, Sahara Beck, Jakubi and North East Party House.

The band was also recently appeared in Australia’s most prestigious music industry-showcasing event BIGSOUND.

It's got a crisp and clean lick of paint on it but I reckon this time around Selaphonic have got the balance right.

The synths are a tiny bit overbearing for my liking but definitely a track you can't help but bop along to.

Bubbling pop music with enough of an edge to keep me on the line.
