Sen is dream, voda is water. A waterfall of dreams, where stories weave in and out, a dreamy wave of sound taking you in, spitting you out on the other side with a head full of bizarre thought. Originally spelt 'sen i woda' means 'dream and water' in polish, the native tongue of Senivoda's lead singer Ola Milena. Inspired by the rhythms of polish mountain folk, infused with jazz harmonies, set in soulful grooves, Senivoda's sound is full of dance both energetic and slow. The fusion of styles is fresh and new, hard to pin into an already existing genre. It calls for dancing shoes and closed eyelids, arms in the air and ears wide opened. The songs tell stories of life, love and silliness in the heat of night or under the burning sun. The band originated as a duo consisting of Ola Milena, a classically trained singer of a polish decent, from New Zealand and a Melbourne jazz guitarist Aleister James.
