SEWERCIDE formed in Melbourne in 2011 with members then aged 16, 18, 19 and 25, and aimed to take thrash metal to its most extreme limits. Influenced by US death and thrash metallers like Morbid Saint, Sadus, Demolition Hammer, Solstice, Malevolant Creation, Cannibal Corpse and Obituary, the band quickly established themselves on the Melbourne scene, performing at Sonic Forge Festival in only their third live show. In February 2012 Sewercide released their first demo entitled ‘Severe Trauma’, with two tracks for free download online, later to be put on cassette.
