Shadows Without Substance was originally formed with a sense of urgency. They had no members, no fans, no songs, no name and a gig within a month. Within 3 weeks they formed a literal band of misfits, wrote 6 songs, picked a name and practiced their asses off for that first Ric’s gig. With a handful of melancholic songs with equally suggestive titles and 6-months on from that first gig, they released their debut single ‘Going Down’ in November 2018. This band has evolved from a group of shy individuals to the kind of family you would complain about at a fancy restaurant for being too loud.
