Born of a delirium between pioneers passionate about new technologies, Shaka Ponk is a few years since a mutant rock group that explores the virtual to better take root in the real. For proof: concerts that are multiplying, rooms that are growing and an audience ever more numerous. Geeks, followers of the social networks or zonards of the globosphere, Shaka Ponk federates a growing community of young "citoiliens" as eager for music as for images, and determined to enjoy it for real. In a 3rd album accompanied by several clips Shaka Ponk continues his hectic adventure on this open border between instruments and sounds produced by software. His title, The Geeks & The Jerking Socks, refers to a scene from the movie American Pie where a young student is surprised by his parents as he mates a pornographic film in his room, sex stuffed into a sock.
