Shane is an American singer/songwriter who lives in Melbourne, Australia. He has been writing songs for nearly twenty years and has released three solo albums, as well as an EP with the rock band Temperance Union. His fourth record 'Another Love Song' will be out in March of 2021.

Shane was born and raised in the great state of New Hampshire. He is the son of drummer Arthur Papatolicas, who passed away in 2013. Shane's childhood was spent lugging equipment to his father's gigs, hanging out backstage and soaking up the thrill of live music. His 2014 album ‘In Between Years’ was dedicated to his father’s memory, and confronts feelings of leaving, loss, separation and renewal.

Shane spent most of his 20s writing and playing songs with friends around San Francisco's living rooms, cafes and dive bars. His 2005 album 'Going My Way' was well received, and his song 'Sometimes on the 38' became a cult favorite of the popular 'Muni Diaries' blog in the Bay Area. In 2010, Shane began playing and writing songs with bassist Ciaran Mcfeeney and drummer David Smyth, both formerly of the Irish band Vocal Disorder. After a few name changes, Temperance Union released the EP 'Last Orders' in 2013.Shane's latest record 'Broken Lines' came out in 2017.
