Shelley Q is an 18 year-old singer-songwriter living in Perth, Australia. Despite her young age, one
couldn't deny her passion for music, having nurtured it as a child singing to sheep on the back of
her Dad's ute and singing along with her elder sister for fun at every opportunity. The musical
greats Johnny Cash and Michael Jackson provided early inspiration for Shelley to pick up a guitar,
ultimately providing comfort during many nights away at boarding school in Perth!
Shelley has performed in many places across Australia, including singing on Channel 7’s ‘Telethon’
in 2018, and performing to a crowd of over 40,000 at quarter-time of the AFL (Optus Stadium).
Shortly after graduating High School in 2017, Shelley began performing at live music venues around
Perth, and went on to release 3 original songs to iTunes. In the following month, her original song
‘Australia’ was played on Triple J - a catchy country tune articulating the Aussie culture and spirit. Earlier this year, Shelley was interviewed by ABC’s Andrea Gibbs on the Saturday Breakfast radio show, and gave a live performance of ‘Australia’.
