With a unique and personalised blend of neo-soul, funk, and R&B, Sheriff Sam showcase their undeniable musicianship from a wide variety of influences such D’Angelo, Hiatus Kaiyote, Parcels and Tame Impala. Sheriff Sam set themselves apart by their accessible driving vocal melodies and entertaining sonics. The band is made up of Billy McLeod (Vocals, Synth, Percussion), Josh McLeod (Guitar), Jude Korab (Keys, Backing Vocals), Jess Cameron (Bass) and Padraig Wilson (Drums). Who each play to challenge audiences and use their voices, with lyrical content touching on pressing global issues, such as climate change and racism all the way to themes of love and loss of friendships.
