Bio
Shoop Dreams is the project of Sean Wilson and Annur Yusuf. In early 2012, they began collecting 80s digital synthesisers and writing songs with sounds inspired by Tears for Fears, Spandau Ballet, Thompson Twins - rich pads and sharp sawtooth synths with coarse drums. In late 2012, they started recording in their spare room at home in Coburg, Melbourne with only their instruments, a few microphones and a couple of preamps. Their debut EP, released in June 2013, was mixed and mastered by Robert Bravington (Montero) at Bobby Brave Studio.
Review
I love how this tune sounds half like a bewildered take at a chintzy karaoke track and half like freeform hate-mail to mid 20s malaise. In the end though you can tell that Shoop Dreams know exactly what they're doing and they do it really damn well.
