Bio

Brothers in blood and in music - The Short Fall are Angelo and Ryan Conway. Hailing originally from Central Queensland, the brothers are now separated in location but forever connected via the intertwining melody and complimentary harmonies of their music. Ryan now resides in Brisbane and Angelo in Rockhampton. Their new single 'Under The Clouds' was recorded in Byron Bay with ARIA Award winning producer Jordan Power (Angus & Julia Stone, Xavier Rudd, Kasey Chambers, The Living End) - and marks the first time in the studio since the passing of long-term collaborator, friend and Producer Anthony Lycenko in August 2017.
Angelo Conway, one half of the outfit, said of the recording process, "I don’t think we’d stopped to process just how much Anthony’s death had affected us until we were driving to Byron Bay. For us it was dipping our toe back in the water after quite a long time away from the studio. The experience was quite cathartic; in a way, a piece of Anthony is in this song, as we’d worked on it with him all those years ago when we originally wrote it (it was written for our first EP) so it’s sort of come full circle."

This song is my favourite from these lads. Makes me want to grab my girl and slow dance the night away. Harmonies and melody are bang on and capture what makes this song special.
