Bio

Shred McKeckney had a dream to change his life. So he shook off the dust of some extremely tough years, sold his house, and teamed up with some of Australia's premier talent to finance his very own debut record - SHREDIKULOUS! (Now that's how you kick life in the balls!!) Shred (a name derived from a drunken tattoo on his arse) always had a talent for entertaining his mates, lighting up parties and jam halls with his charismatic box percussion and rapping. So in 2018, when his mates pushed him to write his own raps, Shred went all in. Surprising everyone with his hooky lyrics and bursting delivery, he enlisted the studio expertise of Paul Pilsneniks (Powderfinger, Silverchair), co-writer Dave Murray (Royal Blood) and multiple session guys like Grant Garethy (John Butler Trio). (This lad doesn't do things by halves!) What transpired was an EP which took everybody by surprise, forcing even hardened industry types to raise their eyebrows at the fresh wacky humour sprayed through tough retro rock. With the gifting of these genre defying songs to the world, Shred McKeckney truly has become one of Australia's emerging underdog heroes, with an ever growing team of cheering supporters. "Go Shred!!"

Well holy shit this took me by surprise. Some wild throwback references in there. Not unhappy to have stumbled upon you Shred.
