Australian born-and-bred from strong music backgrounds, the pair have earned their stripes as session musicians and in playing London’s live circuit for several years. Andy is an established producer and Siboney was pursuing a solo career when an LA-based songwriter and friend suggested that they join forces to write music together. Produced by Andy, the duo’s first single ‘Secret’ finds a huge sonic landscape. Aggressive synth sounds find their counterpoint in the acoustic guitar, and together with Siboney’s velvety vocal range, is redolent of the EP in general. The pair use their performance experience to good effect with live instrumentation that gives the title track an urgency and depth, drawing from pop, folk, indie, and electronic influences. These sensibilities are expressed further throughout the EP.
