Bio

Emerging out of the apocalyptic wastelands of the Inner West, Sierra Fin’s latest offering ‘Dust Satellites’ is a tale of isolation set to a jumble of moody synths and reverb-drenched guitars.

The footage was shot by band member, Joel Joslin’s, Grandfather on an 8mm film on holiday with his Mother back in their homeland of Italy in 1966. The footage was kept in a drawer for nearly 50 years before being digitally restored last year.

Following ‘The Tide’, this is the second in a stream of upcoming tunes to be released this year. It sees the band jettison the dark and dense layers of their debut album in favour of cheering the fuck up.

Taking a brief hiatus to polish their International Songwriting Competition silver medal and pen some new tunes, Sierra Fin have shed the comfort of their floral print jammies and are venturing back out onto the live circuit with new single and clip in tow.

This track only gets less than five stars because I was bouncing up and down listening to it as it chugged like a cheery, warm-weather train through my headphones and one of my workmates asked if I had worms.
I don't have worms, so I took off half a star.
But if I did, the worms would also enjoy this song.
