Bio

The alias of alternative pop singer, songwriter and producer Carley Austin, SILA can be described as a hybrid of electronic, soul, with shades of contemporary R&B. With conviction and confidence she makes a sole sound that are introspective, reflective, victorious, yet celestial with glittering, dulcet vocal harmonies.

Heavily influenced by artists such as Banks, Shlohmo, George Maple, Tokimonsta and The Internet, the Sydney-based songstress has been developing the project in the past year. In 2017, she was selected to partake in ‘All Girl Electronic’, which opened her up to music production and saw her improve her skills with mentors such as Rainbow Chan, Antonia Gauci, Hannah Lockwood and many more. Since then, SILA has performed at The Plot festival, Bodega Collective’s ‘Block Party’, and has featured and co-produced with Korky Buchek on their single, ‘Midnight’.

SILA plans to continue writing & producing, and is set to release her debut EP beginning of 2019.

Those vocals are so dreamy.
If you are an rnb/neo soul fan this will definitely satisfy.
Special mention to the Eve ft Gwen stafani hook. Mint

Hahaaa... good interpolation of blow your mind, really kicks off after that first passage. Some of the vocal chops are a bit off though? Also the bass should be dragging a little bit more behind the beat then it would bangggg. Turn off quantization in this genre.
