I guess I’m looking for fulfilment, man that sounds cheesy. But I started writing songs for myself while I was playing with other bands, for the same reason that every other side-person does while they are playing for other bands. There was a certain part of myself not satisfied, something that grew within me. I guess I’m using this songwriting thing as a way to get to know myself better. And I hope that anyone listening to my songs gets to know themselves better too. I don’t want my interpretations to cloud people’s own judgement, but if I’m on the spot I suppose I’d say my songs are about struggling with self-doubt.
