Artist:Skyuka

Known for her nakedly honest lyrics and electrifying stage presence, Skyuka’s music is a fusion of electro pop, indie and grunge, intertwined with soul vocals that melt into sweeping falsettos. Skyuka’s live show is genre diverse and emotionally rich. Her drummer (Jasper Emmitt Miller) alternates between drum pads and his live kit, and her brother (Token Friend) brings a wash of 90s fuzz guitar sounds to the set. This year her song ‘Fade’ was nominated for a WAM SOTY award, and in June she was selected out of 120 artists to create an audio/visual installation titled ‘The Michael Cera Experience’ (after the release of her single ‘Michael Cera’) for Strange Festival in Perth’s CBD. She also made the front cover of Portugal’s ‘Indieota Magazine’ and was premiered on Phoenix FM in the UK for her last release ‘Houseplants.’ Skyuka is currently working on an EP set to be released early next year.
