Bio

Following the release of their first single Suffer in March 2018 sleepeaser have left a mark on the Newcastle music scene as a band to watch out for, delivering a unique twist on emo rock.

A run of launch shows for their single "Patterns" down the east coast of Australia received glowing reviews from the likes of radio personalities Richard Kingsmill "Great delivery. Everything works - the build - the breakdowns - the restrained vocal. That's a great emo guitar riff too." and triple j Goodnights' own Bridget Hustwaite.

Having supported bands such as Mooseblood, Hundreth, Mom Jeans and The Dangerous Summer the band (Jake Hewish (vocals/guitar), Levi Dallen (drums), Madeleine Jackman (bass) and Harry Brown (guitar)) aims to establish itself further with new music currently in the works to follow up their Debut EP, "Everyone You Left Behind".

On the outset its a straight down the line emo record but you start to realize pretty quickly there's a lot of depth here to the mix and the arrangement that adds a really full sound to this one. Ogres (and this song) are like onions - they have layers

sleepeaser caught in that cycle of checking their drafts at 2AM and wondering what could've been. Full of that meaty inner conflict that makes a good emo track.
