Fronted by singer-songwriters Lauren Power and Eimhin Healy, Melbourne’s Sleepflowers are already holding their own in the city’s forever burgeoning indie rock scene. Their debut single, Violet Sea emerges with a wistful energy spurred on by deep felt indie-rock vibes. It bears a hint of the sonic textures of post-rock, as delicate male-female harmonies are gently laid on top of what builds to a dramatic guitar-heavy arrangement.
