Bio

Currently running his label Slinksta Records, writing original productions, remixes and working on his new LIVE electronic outfit “The Freaks” for the label,
Slinky has become a name synonymously associated with good music & in particular Bass Music.
Sets have included tangents of Ragga, Tech, Nufunk, Funk, Nuskool, Psy and Progressive depending on the mood or vibe required, also taking journeys into Dub, Chill, Downtempo & Lounge for more relaxing mixes.

Crafting out a nifty career in the industry, he has toured the globe playing at some of the biggest clubs, best festivals and coolest cities.

From playing at GLADE festival UK in the Breaksday Tent, to Falls Festival Australia, Slinky's other feats include playing Ministry of Sound (UK), Supercharged (UK), De Vloer (Holland), Wink Bar (India) to Space Base festival (Slovenia) and Reactor in Sweden for Sound of Habib Records.

Nationally Slinky has played The Big Day Out (GC), Vibes on a Summers Day, SummerfieldDayze (GC), Blah Blah Blah Festival (Bris), and most years is a crowd favourite and standout at Splendour in the Grass “Tipi Village” in Byron Bay (2001-2015). Incidentally, 2009 Splendour watched Slinky play a 10 PM peak set to a 3000+ strong crowd, representing bass music & breakbeat to the masses....

Slinky has supported almost everybody in the breakbeat fraternity, such as the likes of A-Skillz, Krafty Kuts, Stanton Warriors, Deekline, FreQnasty, Elite Force, Drummatic Twins, NAPT, General MIDI, Tayo, ILS, Evil Nine, Adam Freeland, Soul of Man, BLIM, & Chris Carter to name but a few....

Competition wise Slinky has come 2nd in the Quicksilver Air Show DJ contest, and Won a DJ contest for a slot at SummerfieldDayze.

In the public eye, slinky has featured on US Radio show Bijou Breaks, & appeared on I-Breaks internet radio (UK). Slinky has also held down a stable radio-show called "Down & Out" for over 15 years on Bay-FM 99.9 in Byron Bay (AUS), with a short stint broadcasting the show from Bombay India, via NSB Breakbeat Internet Radio (UK). It was one of the longest running breaks radio shows in Australia.

Now his focus is on production, having signed his remix of The Groove Diggerz "Time Kontrol" to their UK label Breakin Even in 2008. In 2009 Slinky signed another release on Rapid Fire Records (Canada) called "The Darker Phaze" which he co-produced with Digitalis (Sinister/Matsuri). 2013 continued the roll with Slinky signing his remix of Macho’s “Pop It” to Greek label VIM Records for their special edition 200th release!!!

in 2016, Slinksta Records releases have attained a #10 spot in Beatport’s Top 10 Must hear breaks tracks! His mixes are featured in numerous overseas blogs and you can see slinky @ national and local gigs & festivals like Splendour in the Grass Festival, Falls Festival, Earth Frequency Festival & Island Vibes Festival, blasting genre defining boundaries. When he’s not forging Psychedielic Nuskool Funk fuelled tracks & remixes for the label, Slinky is working on his new Live electronic outfit “2Freaks” @ Slinksta Records Studios.
