When you got tired of the meathead bully taking your seat on the bus? Well, Melbourne rock band Sojourn are sick of playing it nice. No more "youthful rock n roll in its simplest fashion." Their new Double A-side possesses dark introspection, grit and fire. Load Up is a crooked exercise in leering post-punk that pays homage to searing bass tones of Bauhaus and Joy Division while not abandoning Sojourn’s rock’n’roll roots. Spaceship is a heavily distorted exercise in wet production – like a drunk Captain Kirk commandeering the Death Star and crashing it into the Sun (Daniel Watt - Beat Magazine).
