Artist:Somnium

From Melbourne’s south east, members of Somnium first met whilst studying VCE at Mazenod College, Mulgrave. The band enjoyed recent competition success at the Monash Heat of the Freeza Battle of the Bands in August 2011 before competing in the regional finals in October. During 2010 the band won the Associated Catholic Colleges Battle of the Bands with their first original song, My Life, and continued moving forward. The band continues to write original material all the while balancing Year 12 commitments. The band’s influences include Tool, Radiohead, Massive Attack, John Mayer, Metallica, and Foo Fighters. Although just starting off, the band has ambitions of emulating the success of the artists that inspire them.
