Bio

Energetic, enthusiastic, and ready to entertain are just a few words to describe the undeniable noise of indie punk outfit Squid Fishing. Whilst preserving the classic vibe of old school punk with dirty and unsettling guitar tones, crashing cymbals and deep confronting bass, Squid Fishing effortlessly blend indie & folk into the equation with soothing vocal melodies and well controlled dynamic. Squid Fishing have played festival lineups such as Party In The Paddock and Falls Festival, as well as supporting acts such as AJJ (USA), Slowly Slowly and Bugs. Squid Fishing are all about creating a safe and happy environment for people to come and shout about their feelings.

totally forgot to review this when i played it, but i love the extra grit and spit so you know they mean business. music as an outlet can't be underestimated and squid fishing are proving that big time.

Content warning for s*icide. Very raw subject matter and Squid Fishing confront it with lyrical heft and anguished guitars.
