September 2003, trend-hawks were in, the mullet had had its day and the style of the metrosexual was beginning to rear its ugly, yet well-groomed, head. Five lads from the sleepy southern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, with a penchant for powerhouse rock‘n’roll and a desire to make some serious cash decided to cut the crap, get their arses into gear and make Perth shave that designer stubble, shut up and listen. Standard Deviants were formed, and with a huge sound and a live show that would make a paraplegic tap his foot, keen interest in the band started to develop. Soon Standard Deviants were filling pubs all over Perth and giving the punters a taste of their smokin’, swaggerin’, beer drinkin’, smart arsed variety of rock‘n’roll. Anyway we could be here all day so here's a tip - Lose the Mullet, lose the Designer Stubble and get down, get a beer in hand, and see the almighty Standard fucking Deviants.
