Bio

Following the success of her debut single ‘Dog Bite’, Melbourne based singer-songwriter Stella Bridie is due to release her second single ‘My Girl’ on all available streaming platforms on July 23rd.

Stella launched into the Melbourne music scene on a packed evening in October 2019 when she officially launched ‘Dog Bite’, a catchy indie rock track thrumming with passion and anxiety, with influences from Lucy Dacus and Julia Jacklin. This release followed her win at the Darebin Music Feast Songwriter’s Award in 2018 for her politically charged anthem ‘Don’t Go Out Tonight’.

On ‘My Girl’, Stella’s resonant, powerful voice and poetic lyricism fuse to create a tragic love song with a soaring chorus, produced by Soren Maryasin (The Teskey Brothers), mixed by Theo Carbo, and mastered by Joe Carra (Crystal Mastering).

i'm loving the space you include, it adds to that power and poise.

That piano heartbeat is haunting against those crashing builds. For fans of: Regina Spektor + having your heart strings pulled.

There's no trying to hide from what Stella Bridie is thinking. She's laid it all out on the floor here. Lots of charming indie moments when it charges up a bit too.
