My solo project which involves me, john rowell predominantly using acoustic guitars with lo-fi leanings. Prosuction is my first collection of solo works Ive managed to package into an EP. Rather, it was a collection of riffs and sketchy vocal ideas that I wanted to develop into the following premise: to conceive, finalise and package/record each song within the first couple of takes. This enabled, I hope, some degree of originality as each song was not overly thought out as such over-thought could possibly lead to less lo-fi and more, sounds like the rest. The disadvantage, to a seasoned sound editing pro or keen music listener, will be that it sounds hastened and under-produced (hence the title prosuction). These things might be addressed come the follow-up EP, but til then, enjoy these lo-fi acoustic numbers. My main band is the Satellite Inspectors for which I play the drums in.
