While a tumultuous 2020 took the world by storm, Stonehaven utilised time spent quarantining writing and self-producing a unique, energetic, anthemic yet emotion-driven take on alt-rock. The Brisbane, Australia-based four-piece is the brainchild of singer-songwriter Sam Woods, who was inspired by the energetic yet melodic sounds of bands such as Balance and Composure, Bring Me The Horizon, and Don Broco and wanted to offer a unique perspective on the genre. Luke Woods, Sam’s brother, soon joined on drums and began the writing and recording process, which began in the brother’s apartment in Brisbane City. Members Mitch Perry (guitar) and Tate Senhenn (bass, backing vocals) soon joined the five-piece outfit, completing a lineup of friends and talented musicians that are no strangers to the stage.
