Gold Coast indie-pop rockers, StoneMason emerged into the Australian music scene in 2009 after being introduced as Triple J’s Unearthed artist. Forming in 2005 when all members of the band were still in high school, StoneMason consists of Phoebe Parkinson (vocals and keys), John Beynon (guitar), Thomas Stevens (bass), and Ian Collins (formerly of Trigger Theory) who will round out the llineup as StoneMason’s tour drummer. A lot has happened in the last year since releasing their highly praised debut EP ‘Noise + Haste’ in October 2009, which saw the radio debut of infectious first single, ‘Stockholm Fashion’ on Nova and Triple J. As the EP boasts the band’s effortless ability to write catchy tunes with heart, StoneMason’s sound has been described as “pop-punk at its best” (KillYourStereo.com), that “follows in the vein of Paramore and All Time Low” (Peezine).
