Bio

A mixture of school friends, holiday program meetings and chance social media meeting, Frankston locals subcult have been taking over the Melbourne music scene one poop joke at a time.

Having created a pop infused garage rock sound that is uniquely their own, with driving power chords, reverb-soaked leads and anthemic lyrics, the band have already shared the stage with acts such as Ruby Fields, Bakers Eddy, LOSER and Crywank. Whether they’re playing a house show to a group of mates, a huge sold out venue, or even an empty theatre, subcult will always rise to the occasion bringing heaps of energy.

With their new single "Medicated," they've made a party rock anthem (no relation to LMFAO) about realising how "fucked up in the head" you truly are.

Melodic and impassioned, medicated is an acknowledgement that we're all living with our own imperfections and issues

Rough and tumble but still got the melodic chops. Fun intro to subcult!

this feels like the optimistic outlook a lot of people might need right now. a great debut, i'm keen to hear more.
