Artist:Summer Blood

Formed in Melbourne by brothers Adam and Dave Johnstone, releasing their first EP in 2014 (‘Later’ – recorded by Idge at Soundpark) and frequenting the stages of Australia’s most popular dive bars since, Summer Blood have blossomed from surf-punk and grunge origins into a mature blend of 90s alternative rock, country and old fashioned rock n roll. The Bloods’ sonic journey can be traced through their 7″ and 12″ releases through Buttercup Records in 2016, with a debut album (recorded by Sam Johnson at Holes and Corners) due out soon in 2018, showcasing the groups’ eclectic range of influences and inability to be defined by a simple genre. Joining the band for this release is Will Maxwell (formerly of Apart From This), ensuring that Summer Blood’s notoriously tight live show will continue to impress.
