Sunbird is the main focus for Perth roots rock musician Dave Lawrence, longtime guitarist for Perth then Sydney rock weirdos Fondula. This is a flexible project which might see Dave performing solo acoustic or with rhythm section and an array of soloists, this year's crop including clarinet, saxes, trumpet, violin and percussion... Sunbird have joined forces with Scott Kociuruba's Mister and the Near Mrs to create the formidable Mister and Sunbird touring revue... Wonder twin powers activate! They recorded a double album, 'Spirit Fingers', together earlier in 2008 and are currently dividing their time between Europe and Australia. There's never a dull moment, let alone a dull show.
