Artist:Sunset Heroes

Out of the ashes of several local bands, five musicians joined together in mid-2013 to form 'Sunset Heroes', a blues rock ensemble that hoped to merge the various styles and influences of its members into a new and original sound, and represent Newcastle reputation for original music. The result was a truly entrancing and euphoric sound created by a fierce horn section, soul swelling harmonies, dirty guitars and raw blues grooves. In mid 2014 the band took to the studio to record its debut single, 'Earthquake', which was released on the 13th of June. Within a day of their iTunes release the group did Newcastle proud when they edged their way to number one on the iTunes blues chart for over a week.
