Bio

Following the success of 2014’s debut album “Of Bane Burden & Change” Surroundings spent most of 2015 in search of two new members to develop their unique take on modern heavy music - one unafraid to draw influence from forgotten or unfashionable styles to make its point. The new lineup is their strongest yet, and the new single “Elizabeth” is the perfect showcase. Crushing technicality meets warm atmospherics through the track, with the band confidently embracing big melodies and tight structuring.

Surroundings will spend the remainder of the year writing new material with the new lineup bringing new energy and fresh perspectives. Expect to hear Surroundings’ signature complex riffage supporting big hooks and deep grooves; music where the connection, not the time signature, is the star.

I refuse to engage with this song again on anything but an imax screen cause this record is straight up cinematic.
