Making music since he was a teenager, Swaré was always inspired by greats like Michael Jackson and David Bowie, but it wasn't until a friend showed him the video clip for Phantom Pt. II that he decided to go all in on music.
He made his debut vocal appearance on Failr's Starving for You (feat. Swarè) back in 2017. Later that same year he released his debut single 'I Want You to Move'. Over the next twelve months he released three more singles, 'Remember', 'Purple Kites' and 'Houston' - each produced by Michael McGlynn (L-FRESH The LION) and Toby Chew (MOZA). They garnered a little attention within the Sydney music scene and grabbed rotation on national radio.
After a handful of headline performances and radio appearances, he returned to the studio with McGlynn to record 'Chill With You' in October 2018. This single changed the trajectory of his sound and later became the lead single on The Mixtape, an EP of five songs produced Chunkyluv.
In 2019 Themba Thompson and Swaré worked on a new batch of songs, the first of which became Conversations, which was released in October 2019. The second, Gatsby was released February 28th 2020. It was after this release that Swaré teamed up with GenMusic, an independent Australian management team, scouting Swaré as the perfect addition to their small team, representing Australian pop artists.
