i was born and raised straight into the Sri Lankan art field (in Melbourne and later Canberra after my family moved) thanks to my gorgeous mother and i basically started performing in all sorts of things, in Sinhalese, at age 3. that carried on throughout my childhood and honestly allowed me to experience and learn so many sick things that i was so unaware of at the time. i never became particularly passionate about it due to the language barrier, howeeevver, what i did become passionate about due to my surroundings was Western music. i knew it was what i wanted to pursue by age 8 and picked up piano and later moved to guitar by 10. i still have the flippen autobiography that i wrote when i was in the 6th grade called "My Life - My Dream", literally the most dramatic depiction of what should’ve been a lighthearted ambition yet i’d be lying if i said i don’t still relate to majority of it so the big ol' plot twist and obstacle that held me from jumping straight to making things ...
