Bio

A passion for infectious rock pop music brought these four young Sydneysiders together. The Take delivers a huge vocal performance with keys, drums and guitars that have been said to resemble powerhouse bands such as The Killers and Panic! at the Disco. This Foursome joined forces in 2006 where they graced stages in support slots with Australia’s Kisschasy and Something With Numbers. With over 250 killer shows under their belt, The Take have a live show that turns any venue into a stadium performance. High school played a huge role in the foundations of The Take. Being booted from music classes together spurred the creation of their first songs in the school corridors. Their younger fans are very important to the band. These fans are the reason why The Take in 2009 signed on to play the Boost Mobile Rock the Schools Tour. A month long of shows to a thousand screaming fans a day shifted the boys into overdrive. The Take’s debut single “Hollywood” goes national on the 11th of January and has already got the scene in a stir. The long awaited album will follow this release and be dropping in early 2010. The Take are: Justin Roberts (lead vox/keys), Robb Mitchell (guitar), Shane Yasserie (bass/backing vox) and Tim Vickery (drums)
