Bio

Throw Me To The Wolves are a five piece female-fronted indie guitar band from Newcastle. At the tender ages of 14-19, the band have already received triple j AirPlay, appeared on TV and had their music featured in a commercial for fashion icon Sportsgirl. ✨

They received praise from triple j's Richard Kingsmill for early single 'In Wonderland', calling it "Some '50s Happy Days vibes, a touch of Ball Park Music fun, a little bit of '90s nonchalant slacker in the vocals. This is a real charmer."
Triple J's lunchtime presenter Gen Fricker also called it 'super fun summery indie pop'.

Comparisons to bands like San Cisco and The Jungle Giants were apparent across their early material, but in 2017 Throw Me To The Wolves have really come into their own, borrowing stylistic elements from genres as broad as post-hardcore, math rock, shoegaze, dream pop and emo, to create their own unique brand of indie rock.
2017 also sees the band embarking on their first shows outside of Newcastle, playing in Sydney at the Oxford Art Factory with Bec Sandridge and The Vanns, as well as opening in their hometown for their idols San Cisco.

Please note that for some other-worldly reason the downloaded copies of our songs show up under the name Cassette. There is nothing we can do as this is a technical glitch in the site so all you can do is rename the band to Throw Me To The Wolves as we are.
