Bio

An exploration of multi-layered melody is at the heart of T I N K E R, the sophisticated solo project emerging from Brisbane’s blossoming music scene. What first began in 2012 as a creative outlet for former Glass Towers guitarist Chris Bristow has since grown into a distinct new melodic offering that bridges the electronic and alternative genres.

Having spent years writing, recording and touring extensively as a part of numerous other musical collaborations, Bristow’s personal foray is an ethereal side-step from his previous projects. T I N K E R’s sound is complex construction of gentle guitar hooks and hynotising rhythm that touches on the act’s key influencers - Jai Paul, Vallis Alps, and The Japanese House.

The project’s first release ‘Fill The Field’ was a testament to the act’s thoughtful approach to creation. Self-recorded and produced in Bristow’s home studio, the track was mixed by emerging producer Antonia Gauci and mastered by the world-renowned Leon Zervos (Muse, Foals, Tame Impala) at the illustrious Studios 301 Sydney.

T I N K E R's latest release 'On the Outside' reaffirms the acts one-to-watch status. Set for release on February 24, 2017, the new track is a continuation of the musical evolution of the artist. Featuring anonymous vocals, 'On the Outside' features the marriage of harmonious guitar and electronic twist that have become Bristow's signature.

Just gonna throw it out there, those vocals sure do sound like Tim Nelson (Cub Sport). Totally get that Japanese House vibe as well - aka this is smooth as hell.

You made this in your bedroom? You must have the smoothest pad around. I'm talking like velvet wallpaper and Barry White's voice has replaced your Siri.

Love the guitar in this one. Vocals of course are a completely different feel to your first upload but still makes for a pretty cool pop track. Keep it coming.
