Tom Day

On the rise WA folk-roots artist Tom Day is pleased to share his upcoming single ‘When I Fall’, the results of a session that involved partnering with award-winning engineer James Newhouse (The Waifs) and much loved singer-songwriter/producer Dave Mann.

Lyrically tackling the serious topic of mental health issues and the
relationship strains that are rife within the music industry, Tom's dynamic guitar playing delivers a quintessential Australian feel for the song while driven by a classic drum shuffle.

Based in Margaret River, Tom Day is rapidly making a name for himself thanks to his phenomenal guitar work and foot-thumping, energetic on-stage presence. Having already supported such names as Shaun Kirk, Kallidad and Morgan Bain, Tom has also jammed live with Kim Churchill, Tom Richardson and Benny Walker.

Born and raised in Dongara, a small town in the Midwest of Australia, Tom was given his first guitar at age 12 by his father and was immediately hooked. Honing his skills while treating music as a way of life, Tom's songwriting ranges from subtle finger-picked numbers laced with melodies to heavy handed frenetic jams, all while thumping away on a beautifully crafted trusty stomp box.

While numbers are far from a reason for motivation, Tom's humbled that his debut EP in 2016 ‘Searching for Splendour’ reached #1 on the iTunes Blues chart upon release, with the single ‘Vent’ also reaching the top spot on Triple J Unearthed's Roots chart.

Tom's really about to kick things up a level with his first national tour comprising of 18 shows across four states, providing When I Fall with the perfect introduction to crowds this Spring and Summer.
