      About

Tom Fisher & the Layabouts Singer/songwriter Tom Fisher returns to the Perth music scene with his country blues/rock outfit The Layabouts. During a two year hiatus, Fisher toured nationally and internationally with acclaimed Australian acts, while also enjoying many successful solo tours. The son of local muso Jim Fisher, Tom has been performing on stage since he was nine, and has developed into one of WA’s finest musicians. The Layabouts include Paul Keenan and Killian Albrecht, some of Perth’s best musicians, to create an alt country blues, rock sound reminiscent of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and The Rolling Stone’s Exile On Mainstreet era. Slick and high energy their shows are always well received by punters of all ages and tastes. In 2006 their debut EP ‘Reputation’ was released to glowing reviews and the band has begun work on a follow up album due out early in 2012
