The Toss – hailing from a bus stop, the band moved to prominence thru a number of bungled recordings that lead to the famous “Line of bodies – Smashes series”. This album was never released but still remains one of the most talked about non albums of the year. The history of the members is long, dark and ugly and reads like a who’s who of unknowns. Names like Johnno, Davo, Bruce and Bok Choy have nothing to do with the band and are used as filler to take space up. One name that is synonymous with the band is Frank Johnston, although none of the members know anyone called Frank and refute the claim as “Media Hype”. The Toss does not accept the colour purple and believes this to be an optical allusion of two other colours. Toss quotes “We are not sure if we are bigger than Jesus Christ – How tall is he?” “Fame is like money, its only an issue if you don’t have any” “Touch my beer again and I’ll kick ya fcuken head in” “A pint of Coopers Pale Ale, thanks”
